![]() ![]() Because his Elven blood was so thin, the magic of the Elfstones would infect his blood to compensate whenever he used them. ![]() However, his grandson Wil, who was only one-eighth Elf, struggled to use the Elfstones and found them to be unreliable. Shea Ohmsford, who was half-Elf, used his Elfstones without trouble. ![]() The magic of the stones will only work for an Elf or a person with sufficient Elven blood. The mix of minerals and magic makes each set unique, and it took years to make a single set. Their power is therefore dependent on the individual who wields them, a reflection of that person's combined strengths of heart, mind, and body. I like the fantasy genre.Elfstones were generally created as sets of three: one stone for the heart, one for the mind, and one for the body. All in all, I've found it really good, probably a little underrated. If you stop watching the last episode two minutes or so before the end you can feel satisfied to some degree that the story has been fulfilled. However The first two seasons also stand quite well on their own. This series deserves several more seasons. ![]() I found the visual effects really good, probably the reason the series got discontinued (too expensive) after the second season. I'm aware that acting isn't perhaps top notch, but it's not bad considering that the cast consists mostly of young and completely unknown actors. The plot is very engaging and keeps the viewer interested. It's targeted at the younger audience, however I find it quite enjoyable as an adult (maybe I'm a sucker for fantasy tales though). This title has its flaws, however it's still one of the best fantasy series out there. ![]()
